“We wanted to add a great business to downtown Newhall that fills a need in Santa Clarita for vintage and shabby chic,” state owners Krista Jaimes and Carol Reesha. “We also wanted to provide a space for ‘do it yourself-ers’ to do workshops and create their own projects…Workshop schedules can be found posted inside the store or by calling. Workshop space is also available for rent for our customers to hold their own classes and/or small meetings.”
With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Krista and Carol bring a wealth of knowledge and creativity to the store. Carol’s training in various techniques of paint by American Paint Co. will allow customers to gain a greater understanding of the products as The Painted Shutter will carry the full line of clay/chalk/mineral paints and wax sealers by American Paint Co. Krista, who also owns Alpine Shutters Window Fashions, has been selling home decor items for well over two decades.
