City Council candidate Moazzem Chowdhury officially launched his campaign Saturday, February 15 at the Hyatt Valencia Regency Ballroom. The evening was a celebration of Valentine’s Day.
Over 175 guests attended, dressed for the occasion in formal attire. Catering to the guest’s diverse background, the entertainment consisted of a classical Bangladeshi dance artist, Ballet Folklorico of Santa Clarita Valley, and an Indian Punjabi Bhangra dance group.
Filipino representative, singer Sheila Colby graced the stage with her rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner and other favorites. Myra Miranda and Levi Locke both spoke in support of candidate Chowdhury, highlighting his integrity, passion, and leadership ability. Chowdhury’s speech was the highlight of the evening, and featured his emphasis when elected: A safe, family centered, business and environmentally friendly city that embraces technology, diversity, and its senior citizens. Ending the evening with fun for all was a dance party with DJ J.R. Del Rosario. Moazzem Chowdhury thanks all who attended in support of his campaign and for making the evening a tremendous success.
