Old Town Newhall 1Thursday nights are heating up in Santa Clarita with a series of free events happening in Old Town Newhall, including Art SLAM, JAM Sessions, and SENSES.  Thursdays at Newhall, presented by Galpin Subaru, includes the following must-enjoy events this May.

May 1 – from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm:  Art SLAM
Interactive art installations and themed galleries are featured on the first Thursday of the month. May’s event will feature an open-air gallery between Market Street and 6th Street, bringing together an array of artists, photographers, models, designers, and musicians celebrating the art of the human figure. 

May 8, from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm  Bluegrass Jam School
Between Lyons and 9th Street, the Ford Theatre Foundation and the City of Santa Clarita, with support from the James Irvine Foundation, will showcase Bluegrass Music with Randy Torno Bluegrass Jam School.  Dance to the beat, play a new instrument and experience something unexpected at these free, interactive events.  All ages and skill levels are welcome.

May 15 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. SENSES
Finally, you won’t want to miss SENSES, as thousands enjoy a free 80s PROM themed block party.  Grab your favorite 80s gown and suit and join friends to enjoy bands, food trucks, prom themed activities, contests and more.
