Established in 1878; Newhall was a thriving western town, stacked with hotels, trading posts & saloons. The one most notorious was the Derrick Saloon located on the corner of 8th and Main Street. (now Railroad Avenue) steps from the train station.
They not only offered libations for general currency, but also gold dust and anything else worth trading. Many decades later, after changing ownership a number of times, it was rebuilt as the Rendezvous. This simple little bar would go on to be one of the longest running businesses in the Santa Clarita Valley and one of the oldest drinking establishments in all of LA County!
We’ve recently made a number of upgrades; such as stage, sound/lighting, private booths and a furnished patio… transforming this round-the-corner bar into the live entertainment lounge it is today. It’s not a big place and the bathrooms are unfortunately small, we know and we can’t do anything about it. But we do big things with the space we have, and are always working to improve the quality of atmosphere, service and entertainment! With that, we invite you to join us anytime, day or night! If you’re simply looking for a meeting place for a few drinks with friends, we offer a casual laid-back atmosphere from noon to 8 p.m. After dark though… things liven up!
Fridays showcase an endless lineup of local and imported bands performing all forms of rock. Saturdays are all about dancing to our amazing crew of DJs mixing up all forms of club music, old and new. We are especially proud of our Sunday Pro Blues Jam! Dozens of professional musicians and singers share the stage for an evening of truly soulful music. Monday is “Game Night,” with board games, Jenga, flip cup, wheel of fortune and a little karaoke to top it off! Tuesday is indie, alternative, garage, punk and rockabilly. Wednesday night is all electronic, with a weekly showcase of DJs mixing their own blend of beats. Last, but not least… Thursday nights, always busy with our $1 Beer special and Music Video DJs, blending an MTV style show on a dozen HD Screens! Each night offers something different… So come, pick your poison and join the party!
