Graduating school is tough – it’s a lot of hard work, dedication and late nights. You start high school or college as a freshman, and your first year can be a real wake up call if you are not prepared. Now I know everyone has been telling you that being prepared is the key to life, but guess what, they are right! Luckily in Santa Clarita we are fortunate to have excellent schools, dedicated teachers, involved parents and family-oriented community support.
As a Valencia High School graduate some many years ago, I could not wait to leave Santa Clarita and “go away” to college in Long Beach. It wasn’t far, but it was everything my parents promised it would be and more.
Here’s to you, class of 2014, may you find courage to venture out and be true to yourself. Conquer the world and lead us into a better future! And as you graduates prepare to venture out into the world, just remember the people who have loved and supported you along the way are vested in your future too!
