This month I went on a few first dates, and the important word here is first. They were very nice women, but there were no sparks. Now, I know some of you out there think that one date is not enough time to make a judgment. I know that if she makes my heart beat faster, that’s a good start.
We are all looking for that special someone, and it’s never been tougher to find, in this day and time.
People think that they will find their Ms. or Mr. right. The truth is a lot of people are looking for perfection. Maybe I was one of those? I would hear the same thing over and over you are too picky. What is too picky? I am not sure, but I do know I do not want to just settle. This is something a lot of my dates say. As I think back on some of them, I realized that they did not think I was good enough for them. So what’s the answer? After all these years am I supposed to change? That is not going to happen. So, I will go on being myself, and hopefully find someone who is interested in who I am.
Next month, I will report on my being auctioned off at Gentlemen for a Cause. This is my third year doing this, and one of the best things I have ever done for charity. I hope that some of you make it this year. The past two years have been so amazing. The Soroptimist Club does such a great job putting this on. The ladies are great, and they make every one of us feel special. Being one of the veterans of this charity, I want to do anything and everything to make this the best event in Santa Clarita. And being around a hundred women is a dream come true. Of course most of them are not looking for a date from “The Luv Doctor,” and that’s ok. I cannot describe the feeling I get just talking to a lot of them. To get to know some ladies, that I normally would not ever meet. This is a special night with many special ladies. I can’t wait to tell you all about this year’s event. So stay tuned for next month’s article. It should be amazing.
