This June 7, the Santa Clarita Ballet will bring to stage one of its most charming original works for ballet, “Snow White.” There will be two shows at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center at College of the Canyons – a matinee at 2 p.m., and an evening performance at 7:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale May 1. For ticket information and box office hours, please call the Santa Clarita Ballet Company at 661-251-0366. (Tickets are not sold through the Performing Arts Center except for the day of the performances). Advance ticket purchase is highly recommended as shows will sell out.
This elaborate production will feature Santa Clarita Ballet Company dancers and students from the Santa Clarita Ballet Academy. Beautifully designed costumes and enchanting sets will complement original choreography by Ms. Pam Sosa who previously choreographed SCBC original works such as “Alice in Wonderland,” “Peter Pan,” and “Far, Far Away.”
Set to prominent compositions from the renowned ballet “Faust,” audiences of all ages will enjoy the story of “Snow White” told through the artistry of ballet. Amusing woodland creatures will scamper about as the lovely princess engages seven whimsical dwarves in merriment and adventure. All the while, a maleficent Queen conjures up a most wicked plan. As for the charming prince, will he find his dear Snow White, or will it be too late?
The Santa Clarita Ballet Company is a non-profit organization founded in 1995. They are committed to arts programming in Santa Clarita and have made it their mission to bring valuable, affordable ballet performances to Santa Clarita and surrounding communities.
