Well, another Gentlemen For A Cause has come and gone. If you were not there, you missed out. This is one of the best, if not the best, non-profit events of the year. So if you could not make it this year, then put this on your to do list next year. You do not have to bid on a Gentleman.
A lot of people just come to watch all the excitement that goes on, and there was a lot this year. I was one of the few returning Gentlemen, and very happy to be a part of this again. The Soroptimist Club does such a great job putting this on. Thank you ladies! I have to say these are the nicest Ladies in Santa Clarita. The evening started out by having the Gentlemen meet in the waiting room. One of the best things, besides helping a charity, is meeting so many great guys and women. After some mingling, it is time for a casual dinner. I try to move around and talk to as many guests as possible, before the auction. Now dinner is over and time for the auction. I will be the eleventh Gentleman to go on stage. Watching the first ten go on, I see some heavy bidding on some. As usual I am just hoping for that first bid. Now it is my turn, and the first bid came quick, thank goodness. The bidding went better than I expected, and then it was over. I was sold. How much? Should I tell? Ok I went for four hundred dollars. I went over to meet my winning bidder, and we took a picture together. Now I can relax and watch the rest of the auction. Afterwards I still went around talking to more guests, and thanking them for coming. Such a fun evening, I hate seeing it end.
A couple days later I called my winner to set up our date. We sent each other a couple emails too. We set up the date for Saturday night. I went to pick her up. She looked great, and was wearing a very pretty dress. We had dinner at a very nice restaurant, and we talked till about midnight. Unfortunately I had worked that day, and was getting pretty tired. So we decided to end the date, and as I dropped her off, we hugged and I thanked her for a great evening.
