Wednesday, June 18 was something special for a Canyon High School graduate and Canyon Country at large, as Tyler Hawkins, a standout linebacker for Canyon High School returned home to a surprise party hosted by his parents but attended by many from the SCV.
Hosted at the Route 66 Classic Grill by owner George Thomas and attended by newly elected Councilman Dante Acosta, festivities included several beautifully choreographed flyovers by the Condor Squadron from Van Nuys field, and the family’s band as musical entertainment.
The event was highlighted by the attendance of Santa Clarita’s own royalty to punctuate the breath of the event. On hand to spruce up the occasion were the Ms. SCV Royal Princess, Dana Hardy and the Mrs. SCV Royal Princess, Terry Hoard.
