Five years ago, a group of parents set out on a dream. We wanted more for our students. We wanted an educational experience that provided each student with critical thinking skills, excellent academic preparation, and comprehensive cross-cultural awareness.
Through perseverance and a relentless commitment to our students, we created the Albert Einstein Academy for Letters, Arts and Sciences (AEA).
On August 22, we unveiled our new elementary school campus located in Valencia. The new school campus boasts 19 classrooms and two expansive play areas for sports and outdoor games. The individual classrooms are large and spacious. We are fortunate to have a dream facility that most charter schools will never experience. We are also excited about technology upgrades to the campus facility and implementation of the one to one program.
AEA is a different kind of public school. We are a charter school that is allowed the freedom to be more innovative while being held accountable for advancing student achievements. Because AEA is a public school, we are open to all children, do not charge tuition, and do not have special entrance requirements.
AEA fosters a true partnership with parents, teachers and students. We have created an environment in which parents can be more involved, teachers are given the freedom to innovate, and students are provided the structure they need to learn.
AEA seeks to prepare all students for 21st century careers and lives as members of a democratic society through an interdisciplinary educational experience that is rich in exposure to the following languages: English, Spanish, Latin, Greek, Hebrew, Mandarin and Arabic.
In addition, the Academy’s curriculum provides students with tools to develop their own intellectual, artistic, physical, technological, and social competencies, allowing them to graduate with a deep understanding of the relationships among disciplines, and the ability to continuously develop their intellectual integrity and curiosity through a lifelong love of learning.
Our high school boasts one of the highest API scores (902 average) in the entire Santa Clarita Valley region. And, 96 percent of our 2014 graduating seniors will pursue a two-year or four-year university college. And what about the four percent? We’re proud to announce that they made the decision to serve our country in the US armed forces.
Looking back over the five years, we’re proud of the journey and our school community’s commitment to build a dream together.
