It’s hard to believe that summer is coming to an end and fall is just around the corner. As we welcome the cooler weather, we also welcome the stars. It’s been quite a busy month, and as always I look forward to hearing about your star-studded encounters.
Just a few months ago, Switched at Birth’s Ryan Lane and Stephanie Nogueras visited Valencia High School’s American Sign Language classes. The ABC Family drama series follows two teenagers who were switched at birth. The award winning show highlights multiple deaf and hard of hearing series regulars and scenes performed entirely in American Sign Language. Actress Stephanie Nogueras plays the role of Natalie Pierce on Switched at Birth. The Puerto Rican-American actress has also starred on NBC’s Grimm and is an activist for the deaf community.
Actor Ryan Lane plays the role of Travis on Switched at Birth. Ryan began his career as a deaf actor at the age of 19 and is best known for his role as Cincinatti Reds’ William Ellsworth Hoy in Dummy Hoy: A Deaf Hero. Both Stephanie and Ryan were kind enough to snap a photo with SCV resident Taylor Elgin.
You may recognize our next actor, as he is known for his role as Jason in the movie Love & Basketball and the sports agent, Damon Carter on Showtime’s Soul Food. Boris has also starred in Surrogates, Resident Evil: Afterlife and Resident Evil: Retribution. Boris was seen at Hill Harper’s Annual Manifest Your Destiny Toy Drive and is pictured with Santa Clarita resident Elizabeth Teagle.
The stars are here, Santa Clarita, and there are still so many more sightings to report. Get your cameras ready and be on the lookout. Do you have a celebrity sighting to tell and photo to share? If so, e-mail me at selgin@santaclaritamagazine.com. Happy sightings! Mamarazzi.
