Eight years ago I had an idea. An idea that there needed to be a consortium of mental health professionals with knowledge of the educational system and a desire to provide the highest quality counseling, assessment and consultation services to the Santa Clarita Valley. From that idea came Dynamic Interventions. The first incorporation of Licensed Educational Psychologists in the history of California.
Since that time we have grown and changed, whether it be providing individual counseling and assessment services to our clients, social skills training for Regional Center consumers, consulting with school districts, presenting at workshops for parents and professionals, or creating and implementing Project Friendship, our research-based anti-bullying program has been implemented in five different school districts. In these last eight years I have learned that Dynamic Interventions is just that, dynamic. We grow and change with the needs of this wonderful community. We provide the services that are needed to help students and families reach their goals. We truly believe that Dynamic Interventions has made a positive impact in the lives of students and families in this community.
We are changing and growing again. Dynamic Interventions is happy to announce the addition of Malena Ally. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Illinois who recently moved to California and has joined the DI Team. She has worked in Chicago area schools for the past seven years, specializing in adolescent issues. Malena has a great understanding of special education, cultural diversity, a strong background in teaching coping skills for anxiety and anger management, and enjoys working with families so they can reach their goals. She has a background in art education, and utilizes those skills when working with her clients. In the short time Malena has been with Dynamic Interventions, she has brought a level of energy that is sure to endear her to the Santa Clarita Valley. Malena is excited to be here, and we are excited to have her.
