A franchise which originally started on the east coast some 30 years ago, has now grown to over 600 stores in the United States and has even gone global.
Having grown up in South Jersey, Taryn Bulko took her love for Rita’s, one of her memorable family traditions, and brought it to the SCV. “It’s what I grew up with all my life,” states Taryn, “and it intrigued me to bring the concept here.” Thanks to Taryn and her friend Romina Karbalai, the two brought Rita’s Italian Ice to the SCV, and now we, too, can have our Rita’s Italian Ice “fix” here, making special memories of our own.
With the success of Rita’s Italian Ice located on Bouquet Canyon Road in Santa Clarita, just a year later, the Stevenson Ranch location opened up. “We will also have a mobile cart to travel with 10 different flavors this spring, to accommodate big events as well,” states Romina. “We are also working on completing the Santa Clarita Valley with another Rita’s set to open in 2016 in Canyon Country.”
