Welcome! Come join the hundreds of parents who are enjoying their children’s school experience.  Our parent groups tell us that our parents spends thousands of hours volunteering in classrooms, supporting parent activities and encouraging their children and their children’s friends to achieve academic and personal success. Oh, and along the way, they have a lot of fun, too.

If you Google “Parent Involvement,” you will find over 29 million references. From scholarly research to practical tips, your time, talent and treasure is validated, encouraged and affirmed.  It all comes down to a very simple definition: Parent Involvement is participating in your child’s education.  So, jump in, the rewards are great!
You can support your child’s efforts at home and at school.  At home, your encouragement of individual efforts, reinforcement of classroom learning, and modeling of problem solving behaviors set the stage for your child to achieve more, be more successful, and have a positive attitude toward school.  At school, your attendance at school events and activities, volunteering in the classroom, and participation on committees and working groups will enrich your child’s school experience.  Who knows-you may find a few lifetime friends too!
Getting involved is easy!  Every school has a parent group who have great plans for this new school year and with many hands, the work is light, fun and an opportunity to create a forever memory for your child and other children at school.  Attend a meeting, listen to the other parents and don’t hesitate to ask “How can I help?”  Ask a friend to join you at a meeting, share your talents and create a new legacy.    Talk with your child’s teacher at the Goal Setting Conferences in September.  What kinds of volunteer activities would be helpful?  In the classroom?  At home?  Your child’s teacher has lots of ideas-just ask! Meet with the site administrator to learn about school initiatives and ways you can provide support and encouragement for programs and events.  Just like your child’s teacher, your school site administrator has lots of ideas and is happy to share them with you.
Your children are in elementary school for such a short period of time and your parental involvement can touch their lives for a lifetime.  Get involved! Enjoy the experience! Create lifelong memories!
