At Santa Clarita Christian School, we are not only committed to Christian Education, but we also strive for academic excellence as we prepare students to make a difference in the world for God.
Through detailed, individualized and comprehensive guidance, SCCS helps students to stand out in the competitive college admissions process.

Additionally, SCCS’ small class size and low student-to-counselor ratio allows for all students to have access to the level of attention they need for possible acceptance to their college of choice.  Bottom of Form
Planning for a student’s matriculation into college begins during their 8th grade year when a college counselor meets with the students and their parents to prepare them for high school.
During the high school years, students receive specialized and individualized counseling sessions on a regular basis. During these sessions, the counselor works with students on their educational plan that includes: evaluating students’ transcripts, SAT and ACT scores, as well as their Subject Test and AP passing rate; helping students to discover their passion and decide on their major of study;  assisting in compiling a list of colleges that suit their achievements; preparing students to write personal and supplemental essays that rise above the competition; and discussing financial aid and scholarship opportunities.
Whether seniors are tweaking their portfolio days before the deadline, or planning years in advance, SCCS is there to help them realize their hopes of admission into their dream college or university.
In addition, to better prepare students for college, SCCS offers five honors classes and nine AP courses. Last year, SCCS students participated in 134 AP exams.
This year, the College Board issued the “AP Scholar” award to the following students: Alexandra Acosta, Richard Min, Fady Nakhla, Jacob Nogle, Alexandra Ruiz, Kayla Teachout and Kristina Yun while the “AP Scholar with Distinction” award was given to Kaitlyn Dombrowski and Noah Preheim.
SCCS students are excelling and are continuing to be accepted into the colleges and universities of their choice which include: The Masters College, Biola University, Pepperdine University, UC Berkeley, Baylor, UCLA, USC, Cal Poly, Michigan State, Wheaton College, University of Colorado, University of Tampa, Liberty University, Westmont College, to name a few.
