It was a beautiful evening as friends and family gathered to honor six extraordinary and successful women who have dedicated their lives to helping improve the lives of others in our community. On Saturday, November 1, Single Mothers Outreach presented the Empowering HeArts Gala at the Dr. Dianne G. Van Hook University Center for the annual arts competition. Tippi Hedren served as the evening’s celebrity presenter as well as Dan Fagan, the gala’s emcee.
Princess Cruise also presented the Empowering HeArts Cruise Giveaway, a 7-Day Caribbean or Mexico Cruise for two, and the winning ticket was also drawn that day.
Several months prior to the gala, artists were paired with the honorees to create a visual artistic masterpiece to present at the gala’s annual arts competition. Congratulations to all the artists and honorees who were honored that evening as well as a special congratulations to artist Brooke Ritter for receiving the People’s Choice Winner along with Artist Kelly Mehr, for receiving the Dottie Award.
