The Sulphur Springs School District has been working hard to redesign its website and build a custom iOS and Android app. The goal of this redesign is to assure that the district and its nine elementary schools are providing every opportunity for parents and the community at large to have access to information about the amazing events and programs happening in the Sulphur Springs School District such as the 6th grade STEAM pilot, the Junior Engineering Technology Program at Mint Canyon, arts integration, K-6 keyboarding program, Young Author’s Events, afterschool 5th grade Coding Program and the new Engineering Expo that will take place in spring.
With the new website, parents will receive a login that will allow them to access:
* school and classroom calendars
* lunch menu
* transportation schedule
* PTA updates
* classroom news
* classroom websites
* district news
* and weekly principal messages
Teachers now have the opportunity to build robust password protected websites including articles, videos, assignments, and images. The district and school websites are now live, and teachers are beginning to build their classroom pages. Check it out at www.sssd.k12.ca.us.
The new iOS and Android app was released late November 2014. Sulphur Springs School District parents were given an information packet at parent conferences during the week of November 24. Instructions for downloading the new app is also be available on the Sulphur Springs School District’s website.
Both the website and the new mobile app will continue the Sulphur Springs School District’s belief in strong parent and community partnership and communication to assure that together our students get the best 21st century education possible.
