Golden Oak is the newest addition to the Sulphur Springs School District fleet of schools.  We opened with 285 students and in seven years we have doubled our enrollment. – with no new houses being added to our boundaries.   So how did our population grow every year?  Because, we are the number one school of parent choice!
Since opening our doors, Golden Oak has been the highest achieving school in our district based on State Testing and use of a program called Accelerated Reading.

Great Schools.Org has Golden Oak rated nine out 10 when compared to other schools across the State of California based on student achievement and community involvement.
Our commitment is to the importance of building a strong foundation in the skill of Reading.  Our 530 students (66 of whom were kindergarteners) read 22, 819 books throughout the 2013/14 school year.  Our Library has 23,000 books – almost every book was read!  Each student, whether in Kindergarten to Sixth Grade, has a reading goal.  They work very hard to reach it.  We have a 98 percent success rate!
We celebrate with pancake breakfasts, medals and trophies! It becomes a very proud moment for both the child and their parent.
Golden Oak is a joyful place to work and learn.  Our community and faculty feel empowered with a sense of ownership, enjoy being involved and strive to maintain a quality Instructional Program.  There is a great sense of trust among all stakeholders.  We love our school community and in return, we feel very loved.
