Steve and Nicole Grill are proud to be the new local franchisee owners of Tutor Doctor Santa Clarita. Tutor Doctor is one of the largest one on one in-home tutoring services for kids, teens and adults of all ages for all subjects. We focus on making a “Magical Match” between our tutors and families. We work around the families and student’s busy schedule’s to provide tutoring that will inspire curiosity, nurture and cultivate ideas, and enable the student’s to become independent creative problem solvers. Their business includes: Santa Clarita, Valencia, Stevenson Ranch, Canyon Country, Newhall, Saugus, Castaic, Northridge, Chatsworth and Winnetka.
Steve was born and raised in Los Angeles and attended USC for undergraduate and graduate school. Likewise, Nicole Grill earned her Masters Degree in Social Work from USC. Both Steve and Nicole have been very active volunteering their time and energy in assisting kids, teenagers and young adults in developing life skills.
Steve has volunteered at Camp Erin in Malibu, which provides kids and teenagers a safe haven for grieving the loss of a parent or sibling through group activities, sharing feelings and coping skills. For the past seven years; Steve has also served as a mentor to the USC Marshall School of Business assisting undergraduate juniors and seniors with resume writing, interviewing, job searching, negotiating, networking along with discussing how to prepare for life after college.
Nicole Grill is a t herapist at Kaiser Permanente and works with children, teenagers and families. Prior to Kaiser, Nicole worked at the Optimist Youth Homes working with teenagers and families.
Steve and Nicole are very committed to the tutoring profession after seeing their son, Zachary fall behind in first grade with his reading, vocabulary and math skills they hired a tutor who helped instill confidence in their son and made learning interactive and fun. Their
