Baked Brie in Sourdough Round
Ingredients:
• 2 tbsp. – 1/4 cup unsalted butter • 1 large onion chopped or grated small and sauté till almost brown • 2 tbsp. minced garlic
• 1 8 ounce pkg. cream cheese, cut into pieces • 2 tsp fresh lemon juice • 2 tsp Brown Sugar • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
• 8-ounce wheel of brie, rind trimmed, cut into pieces • 1 18-ounce round sour dough loaf • Paprika
Mix ingredients together and sauté onion in butter and add to mixture. Take sour dough loaf and cut off top and reserve the top. Tear out the inside of bread and leave 2 to 3 inches on the insides.
Pour mixture inside of bread and place the top back on the bread. Wrap it well in aluminum foil and place on cookie sheet in a preheated 350-degree oven for 40 to 45 minutes. Let it cool for 5 to 10 minutes before unwrapping and sprinkle with light dusting of paprika.
Serve with remaining bread and crudités such as zucchini or cucumber rounds, carrot, celery, broccoli and cauliflower, bell pepper strips and crackers. Very tasty! Enjoy!
