He was Def Leppard’s drummer since 1978 and despite the amputation of his left arm in 1985, he continued to play with the band.
Known as The Thunder God, Rick Allen was seen at the Starbucks in Santa Clarita and was kind enough to take a photo with Santa Clarita resident Dwayne Pine. “He is a great guy!” says Dwayne.

Over the last three decades, fans from all over the world have attended their concerts as they have continued to sell out arenas worldwide. Originally from the U.K., Rick joined Def Leppard at the age of 15. His accident in 1984 didn’t stop him from being a drummer and became one of the best in the business.
He co-stars in the Fox sitcom, New Girl, and has starred in Veronica Mars, Ugly Betty and the WB’s Modern Men, to name a few. He’s actor Max Greenfield! Resident Savannah Mulhern went to work with her mom, Jocelyn, and the two met Max and snapped a few photos with the actor. Max plays the role as Schmidt alongside Zooey Deschanel and earned him nominations for both a primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series and a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor – Series, Miniseries or Television Film.
