Discover the beauty and grace of Japanese festival dancing with Christine Inouye. Seize the moment and try your hand at these celebratory bon dances, set to ondo music by Japanese folk fusion ensemble Minyo Station.
June 4 • African Dance and Drums
Celebrate the rhythms of West Africa! At this energetic JAM led by Yeko Ladzekpo-Cole, you’ll explore the drumming, dancing and singing traditions of the Ewe and Dagomba people of Ghana.
July 2 • Drum Circle
Take a rhythmic journey with Christopher Ramirez in this evening of interactive group drumming. Using a variety of percussion instruments, you’ll discover the joy of collectively creating beats and sounds with your fellow drummers. Drums provided by Remo Drums, Inc.

Be sure to attend Thursdays@Newhall’s newest event, Revved Up, every second Thursday from March to October. Revved Up is a free monthly car show with a unique twist. Instead of hosting a traditional classic car show, each month will feature a niche car genre…think Classic VW, Traditional Rods and Customs, and more. Check out beautiful restorations, sweet modifications, and exceptional craftsmanship while enjoying gourmet food trucks and a beer and wine garden.

Third Thursday • Main Street, between Market Street and 6th Street
The third Thursday of each month will keep the momentum going with the return of SENSES. The themed block parties will feature popular performers, gourmet food truck and themed activities in a fun and festive adult setting.
May 21 – Bring your wretched soul, your sins and your dancing feet as the popular performance of Vaud and the Villains returns for a free Masquerade block party on Main Street. Come for the scintillating 19-piece, 1930’s New Orleans Orchestra and Cabaret Show and stay for the food trucks, adult beverages and wicked fun!
June 18 – Let it Ride at this Vegas-inspired block party complete with dealer tables, showgirls, and magicians. Listen to classic 80s rock and pop tunes from After Party.
July 16 – The holidays came a few months early as Main Street celebrates Christmas in July. Groove to current hits and sing-a-long to favorite holiday tunes with The Replicas.

The Old Town Newhall Farmers Market is back on a new day, new location and new hours – Saturdays, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the Newhall Community Center, located at 22421 Market Street, Newhall. An abundance of free parking is available. California farmers and specialty food purveyors come together each Saturday, rain or shine, to bring you the finest in fresh and seasonal fruits and vegetables, including organic, baked goods, flowers, herbs, cheeses, and prepared foods. The Market offers patrons a chance to come face to face with their food source.
