Hundreds of guests came to the Valencia Hyatt Regency to indulge in a variety of chili all to support a great cause. On March 20, 41 talented chili cookers competed for votes at the 3rd Annual SCV Real Estate Community Charity Chili Cook Off. Proceeds from the event benefited Bridge to Home, LARC Ranch and Help the Children non-profit organizations.
Judges Choice Award went to Jason Vasquez, Priority Technology Solutions, as he took first place for his Kickin’ Cowboy Chili, Candace McClain took second and third place went to Sonja Randall. For the People’s Choice Winners, first place went to Tamar House, Mark Surette took second place and John Villanueva came in third. The Best Decorated Booth went to Sandy Holguin and Kathy Kuric. The Cook-Off raised about $30,000, and we at The Magazine of Santa Clarita were pleased to be a part of this event.
