What a truly wonderful experience to be a mother. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I can honestly say the happiest days of my life (so far) were when my son was little. Now that he is grown, I am looking forward to him making me a grandmother one day so that I can re-experience childhood without all the pressures of being a new mom, as if we were discovering life together.
Being a mom has changed not only the way I look at everything in life, but it has also changed the way I look!
Now that’s something about motherhood that I’m not too happy with. Every day, we wake up and take care of all the people we love yet we pretty much neglect ourselves. We often put off things that we should do for ourselves, some small, and some not so small. We are always saying, “I have no time for me.” Well didn’t anyone ever tell you “You can’t take care of them if you don’t take care of you?” I’m not even sure that’s a true statement because I’m sure we can, but it’s so much better if we take care of both them and us. This should not be too difficult, especially with our help. We may not be able to turn back the hands of time, but we can certainly stop them from taking us down.
