Do you think you have what it takes to take home the BBQ crown for best tri-tip in town? Champion of the Grill? BBQ Master? Well now is the time to show your stuff and put your tri-tip grillin’ reputation…on the grill! Come join Circle of Hope as they present the first annual Tri Tip Throwdown on Sunday, June 28. Kick off summer the right way from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Nissan of Valencia, located at 24111 Creekside Road in Valencia. Not only will it be a day of barbecue fun, but proceeds from the event will benefit Circle of Hope, Inc.
Grill for a good cause and enter the tri-tip competition today! First place will take home the title along with $500, second place $300 and $200 for third place.
If you’re too sweet for all that grillin’, enter the pie competition. Come show the community that you’ve got what it takes to bake the perfect pie!
Restaurants aren’t excluded from entering the competition, as they will also be able to be a part of the Best of Santa Clarita competition. The winning restaurant will not only take home a trophy they can display for the entire year, but also the pride of being the best of the best!
The cost to enter the Tri-Tip Competition is $75. Contestants must provide three tri tips (approximately 12-15 pounds of meat total), a barbecue, and an amazing recipe! All meat must be raw and cooked on-site the day of the event.
Entrance fee for the Pie Competition is $25. Contestants must provide two delicious pies to be enjoyed for judging.
If you’re not a griller or a baker, there’s no need to stay home. Come out for a great time! Tickets for adults are $10 and $5 for kids ages 12 and under. Not only will you enjoy mouthwatering tri-tip and tasty desserts, but you will be helping Circle of Hope, Inc. a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Santa Clarita Valley, dedicated to making a difference today, for a brighter future tomorrow. Circle of Hope provides financial, emotional, and educational support services for uninsured and underinsured individuals with cancer, their families, and the local community.
