She is friendly, knowledgeable, and creative and knows how to get the job done! Having been in business for more than 28 years, Nanci continues to carry on the legacy and tradition that the great Clarice, the store’s namesake, left behind.
“Our founder, Clarice, just celebrated her 95th birthday,” says Nanci. “Our Queen Mother, as we call her, put so much love into this business, and I’m just expanding on it. Clarice still asks about her old customers, their families and how they are doing. She’s curious about new products and is as sharp as a tack!”

Nanci loves to share her passion and extensive knowledge with her students. With decades of experience, her expertise makes her one of the best in the business, teaching you techniques like airbrushing, sculpting, royal icing flowers and more. Classes are offered all year long, so there’s always an opportunity to learn. Seasonal classes offered include Valentine’s Day, Easter, St. Patrick’s Day, Summer Kids Kake & Kandy Camp, Holiday Gingerbread Houses, Candy Trains and Holiday Cookie Classes. Her classes are loved by men, women and children.
Throughout the years, Nanci’s classes have grown in size. The more students, the bigger space needed, so a few years ago, she expanded their classroom to hold as many as 20 students. Sharing her knowledge with her students is important. “Sharing knowledge with all my students so they can then go on and share it with their friends and family gives me happiness,” says Nanci. Their motto is so very true, “We bake with love!”

Clarice’s Cake and Candy Supplies is open Tuesday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., and is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
