Certified Green Restaurants must go through strict assessment before becoming certified.
They cannot use any Styrofoam products as they are unable to biodegrade within a human lifetime. They must also have a full-scale recycling program with the separation and processing of cardboard, glass, metal, and plastic. Local farmers also pick up organic matter for compost and use the waste grease for fuel. Also, water is only served to guests upon request to avoid waste.
Few restaurants comply with these strict measures, and Santa Clarita is lucky to have one. Egg Plantation is proud to be a certified Green Restaurant for four years straight, implementing many environmentally sustainable practices along with their 40-year tradition of family-owned and operated business.
Egg Plantation is known for offering warm, attentive hospitality, delicious fresh cooked food and quaint café charm. Breakfast and lunch is served daily from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., which includes 101 delicious omelets, employee favorites and daily specials.
