DIN-SaltCreekWine-p1-adAs the California wine industry continues to sate the palates of wine lovers everywhere, the world is taking notice of our sophisticated Central Valley wines. To date, the Golden State produces 90 percent of the country’s wine. Now, that’s worth celebrating!

Taking advantage of California’s best, Salt Creek Grille has revamped the wine list, focusing on more local wine from Paso Robles and Santa Ynez. With the new wine list, Salt Creek is sure to become the ultimate wine spot in Santa Clarita. “We brought in more wines that you won’t find anywhere else in the SCV.”
The new list offers both reds and whites that are sure to become instant guest favorites. Focusing on local pours, the new list serves  up California versus Oregon pinot noir, in order to celebrate the differences between the two.
Some staff favorites, of the white varietals, include Frank Family Vineyards’ 2013 Napa Valley Chardonnay and Sans Liege Vineyards “Cotes du Coast” White Rhone Blend. Although choosing a favorite red is more difficult with such a selection available, the owner enjoys sipping on Calcareous Vineyards’ Twisted Paso Main Squeeze and a Grgich Hills Cabernet.
Wine connoisseurs looking for special, more intense wines can look to Salt Creek’s Captain’s List of Wines, chosen by Greg Amsler. And the new selection pairs perfectly with Salt Creek food favorites like Chilean Sea Bass, New York Steak or Prime Rib Chop.
The popular, upscale eatery continues the wine celebration with a special wine dinner on Sept. 24, featuring Calcareous Vineyards. Wines from Calcareous have the “perfect combination of terroir, climate and varietal selection.” Be sure to save the date for this wonderful event and try your first taste of this exciting new addition!
