Music – How It Can Impact Your Childs Life
Music is a universal language, and helps bridge the language barrier gap. Regardless of who you are and where you come from, music lets us unite as one, and allows us to understand each other on a mutual level. Many experts agree that there are benefits to letting your child play an instrument.
If you want to help give your child a mental advantage music can help foster that. For many children studies have been shown that music helps stimulate parts of the brain that are related to reading, math, and emotional development. Also participation in music at an early age can help your child improve in their memory!
Socially and emotionally it will also help your child to break out of their shell that they are in. Children become more aware of the ability to work with others, or as a team and appreciate the various rewards that come from working together. Patience and confidence are two other benefits to learning to play a musical instrument. By exposing your child to real life demands of having patience, it can help them in the long run academically, and help boost their confidence by giving them something they can get better and better by practice.
For someone who has played musical instruments for five years now, I was able to see these changes in my life and more. Playing guitar and drums it allowed me to express myself, and help express creativity. Living in a world that expects constant results, I felt the ups and downs of failing, and getting back up and trying.
Can you imagine living your life without music? It would be hard to considering the fact we have been wired into our very existence as humans. While we all enjoy listening to music, many of us either simply never got the chance to learn as a kid, or never received the proper musical instruction.
