Spooktacular Fun
If you are looking for a spooktacular dessert or goodies for the ghouls and goblins for Halloween, then think about some of these ideas that couldn’t be easier-and there is nothing scary about them! There are so many fun ideas to make from cupcakes, haunted gingerbread houses, 3-D pumpkin cakes, cake pops and the list can go on and on! Just use your imagination and have fun and remember your kids love getting involved in the making and baking for any holiday.
Why not try whipping up a cupcake creation or a cake that will be sure to please and will dazzle your Halloween party guests. You can create monsters, black cats, witches, ghosts, werewolves. You get the picture.
Begin by either making your favorite cake recipe or buy store bought cupcakes. You can go wild with frosting and candy needed for the particular designs and characters you want to create. You can make them as simple or labor intensive as your heart desires. For a simple pumpkin cupcake, frost your cupcake in orange frosting, add candy corn for the eyes, nose and mouth add a pretzel stick at the top for the stem and you have a quick simple fall treat. How about a witch hat? dip a chocolate ice cream cookie and a bugle snack into black chocolate. Place the dipped cookie on waxed paper to dry then dip the bugle snack into the BLACK chocolate and place in the center of the cookie. You can decorate the hat with small fall leaf sprinkles or sprinkle with some orange or purple sugar crystals. When dry place on your cupcake and enjoy.
With chocolate molds you can make green ghoulish fingers, witches on a stick, or tombstones for cupcake toppers. Or just add some royal icing googly eyes to a cupcake frosted in slime green and watch how fast your spooky treats are gobbled up. Just let your creative side go wild and be careful who you scare.
