Golden State Veterinary Care is opening its doors to Santa Clarita Valley and Castaic residents!  Owned by the highly trained and educated Lisa A. Pope, Golden State Veterinary Care provides for all your family pets’ medical, surgical and dental needs in a brand new, state-of-the-art facility.  Passionate and driven to provide a pet friendly service for the Castaic area, Dr. Pope understands that our pets are family.
“We provide veterinary care with honesty, integrity, and compassion,” said Dr. Pope.
Dr. Pope has been in the veterinary business for more than 21 years.  She has the experience and background to care for your animals while they are visiting for their routine check-ups and vaccinations.  She has owned and operated Stevenson Ranch Veterinary Center for the past 15 years.  She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the School of Veterinary Medicine at University of California, Davis in 1994.  She also is an active member of the AVMA, CVMA, SCVMA and the American Animal Hospital Association.
Bringing even more experience to her practice, Dr. Pope hand-selected experienced and knowledgeable doctors and staff members, including Dr. Jeanette Yamamoto, Associate Veterinarian and resident of Castaic.  Dr. Yamamoto was raised in the Santa Clarita Valley, attending both Placerita Junior High and William. S. Hart High in Newhall.  She then completed two years of an emergency/critical care residency with Animal Specialty and Emergency Center (ASEC) in West Los Angeles before hiring on as an Emergency/Critical Care Senior Clinician at that facility.  Other highly trained staff members include: Dr. Ann Marie Sekerak of Valencia, Kyra Jefferson, Summer Flores-Martin, and Rebekah Quiroga.
Dr. Pope understands the need to provide high-quality veterinary medicine in the community of Castaic. After a more than 18 months of planning, permitting, and construction, Golden State Veterinary Care was able to open their doors on October 6.  Golden State Veterinary Care is located in the Hasley Canyon Village Shopping center, which is near Ralphs and It’s a Grind Coffee Shop.
