Nudie’s Custom Java – The rhinestone cowboy rides into town

by | Nov 1, 2015 | On The Town

Nudie’s Custom Java held a grand opening in Old Town Newhall on October 10.  Nudie Cohn, founder of Nudies, was the first man to put rhinestones on clothing in the early 1930s.  Jamie Nudie, Nudie’s granddaughter, grew up around the shop and learned her skills brewing the best java in town and tending to the star-studded clientele.  Elvis Presley, Gram Parsons, Sly Stone, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, Buck Owens, Porter Wagoner and just about every performer you can imagine came to Nudie’s for their signature style, and folks still seek out Nudie sparkle and style to set them apart.  The shop contains Nudie’s history and some rare memorabilia.  It is a great space for great coffee and fans from all over the world to gather!
Nudies is located at 24307 Railroad Ave. For more information, please call 661-678-0955.
