Support Is Sweet at Bras for a Cause

Soroptimist International of Santa Clarita Valley held its 12th annual Bras for a Cause fundraiser on Sunday, September 27 at the Bridgeport Clubhouse with a sold-out crowd. Twelve women walked down the as community members bid on the uniquely designed bras and gift baskets to help benefit Circle of Hope, Inc. and the Sheila R. Veloz Breast Imaging Center.

Co-Chairs Denise Placencio and Suzanne Stone helped organize the candy-themed event, and all the funds raised went toward minimizing costs and revenues for the fight against breast cancer. As the night progressed, several speakers shared their experiences with their fight against breast cancer. Speakers of the night included: Dan Sterkel, Andrea Standley and Janine Jones.
