Your Insurance Benefits for 2015 are Expiring Soon

 The holidays are just around the corner and most of us do not realize that our 2015 dental benefits are going to expire.  What does that mean?
Well, most dental insurance benefits renew on the calendar year, meaning from January to January of the next year.  Your maximum yearly benefits of $1,000 to $2,500 will expire on December 31, 2015 and renew on January 1, 2016.  If you have not used any of the yearly benefits before December 31, then the money you are paying monthly for your dental benefits and the yearly maximum benefit amount you can use towards dental care will expire and simply be absorbed into the insurance company’s profits.
So you haven’t used your benefits because you simply don’t have any dental issues or pain or you don’t like the dentist and have been staying away from your yearly check-up visits, well it’s time that you call our office and schedule a wellness check-up visit where we can take some x-rays and examine your teeth to make sure everything is okay with your teeth and mouth.  Most dental insurances have 100 percent coverage on exams and x-rays.  With dentistry, prevention is key; it is a lot less time consuming, less pain, and less expensive to prevent cavities, root canals, and extractions.
Towards the end of the year is also a time to take advantage of your insurance benefits renewing in January.  For example, if you have an extensive treatment plan which you have been putting off due to finances, this is the time of year to start it.  Come in and schedule an appointment to start on the treatment and maximize your benefits for 2015 and when your benefits renew in January 2016 you can finish the treatment.  This way no gap in necessary dental treatment occurs and your dental care is taken care of in one continuous harmonious treatment plan sequence.
