Meet Professional Musician Lance Allyn Spreading passion and knowledge through music
A multi-instrumentalist, popular local performer Lance Allyn has an in-depth knowledge of music, and over the last 25 years, he has been sharing his expertise and passion through performances, teaching and other music-related trades.
Lance was born and raised in the countryside of Nebraska. Growing up around farm living may have not been the most ideal start to a career in the music industry, but Lance eventually found his way to Southern California.
A Los Angeles-based guitarist, Lance plays many instruments and styles of music, both as a solo act and as part of a duo. He also regularly plays in jazz, country, and rock bands. With his experience, Lance has been an active performer, session musician and educator in the music industry for more than 25 years.
In a studio setting, Lance plays guitar for other artists, records music for film and television productions and, most impressively, creates and writes his own music by playing every instrument in the studio. Lance’s extensive knowledge of guitar and music has also attracted sponsorships from D’Addario, Boulder Creek Guitars, Graph Tech Guitar Labs and Planet Waves.
With such a wide musical skill set, Lance has been invited to many local performances, acquiring a strong local following. He performs at various local venues, as well as events that benefit SCV’s non-profits, captivating audiences throughout the community. Residents can find Lance playing regular gigs at many Santa Clarita Valley businesses, including: TPC Valencia, Salt Creek Grille, Persia Lounge, Wine 661 and Valencia Wine Co., just to name a few. He also performs at many corporate events and private parties.
But Lance’s love for music extends past the stage and studio, reaching into the classroom and hearts of aspiring young musicians. As an honors graduate of Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, Lance is passionate about passing on knowledge, so he works with schools and institutions on a regular basis to promote music in the classrooms, as well as music clinics. He also gives private lessons to many students in Santa Clarita.
