Mystic Hills Serves a Perfect Pairing
Mystic Hills Vineyard hosted a sold-out wine tasting and food pairing at Salt Creek Grille on October 29. Served on the patio, guests enjoyed a five-course meal expertly paired with award-winning Mystic Hills wines. Owners Joel and Judy Cox presented their best bottles, and winemaker Keith Roberts also was in attendance to discuss the tasting notes. At just a year old, the up-and-coming winery has amassed a number of awards and recognition, including 10 medals and a gold medal for the 2011 Unforgiven, a name inspired by the film directed by Clint Eastwood. Joel Cox, now a success in the winemaking industry, has led a very successful career as an Oscar-winning film editor, working alongside Eastwood on films such as Million Dollar Baby, Mystic River, American Sniper and more.
