With aging comes a gradual loss of facial volume, which can lead to a sunken appearance in the cheeks and a tired look under the eyes.  As the face begins to lose volume laugh lines and puffy eyes become more prominent.  With so many options available for facial rejuvenation, it may hard to determine which option is the right one for you.  We asked Valencia’s leading Yale trained Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Justin Heller his thoughts on this topic.
Dr Heller notes that perhaps the most profound change with little if any downtime is to replace the fat that’s been lost during the natural aging process restoring a youthful appearance. Facial fat grafting, unlike fillers, is a permanent fix that uses a patients own fat to rejuvenate or augment certain areas of the face.  The most common fat grafting procedures remove unwanted tummy fat.  The fat is purified in a centrifuge, placed into small syringes and re-injected into predetermined areas of the face.  These areas include around the mouth, eyes, upper and lower lips, cheekbones, jowls and temples.  Each face is unique but with an artistic eye the final results are beautiful.  Even the skin has improved tone and texture.
In addition to rejuvenation of the face, a procedure similar to fat grafting can be used to enhance the buttocks.  Many women are now seeking Brazilian Butt Lifts because they want to increase size or improve shape.  This can be done by augmenting, lifting, enhancing contour, correcting proportional imbalances and improving firmness.  Specific areas for fat removal and replacement include: abdomen, hips, thighs, back, and arms.
