Landing his first TV spot on In Living Color in the early 90s, Foxx has since earned two Oscar nods and a win for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for Ray. More recently, Foxx starred in Django Unchained and appeared in the 2013 action film White House Down co-starring Channing Tatum. In 2014, he starred as the villain Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 alongside Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. He also lent his voice to the character Nico in the animated film Rio 2.
During the Comics for the Cause event to support local non-profit SCV Youth Project, publishers of The Magazine of Santa Clarita Moe and Linda Hafizi met Maz Jobrani before the show.
