Santa Clarita Valley resident Elizabeth Teagle was spotted with Jamie Foxx at an after party for the Video Music Awards (VMAs). A triple threat, Jamie Fox is a talented singer, comedian and actor. He’s even directed, written and produced for films. Born in Texas, Foxx has emerged as one of the most diversely talented entertainers of his generation. Landing his first TV spot on In Living Color in the early 90s, Foxx has since earned two Oscar nods and a win for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for Ray. More recently, Foxx starred in Django Unchained and appeared in the 2013 action film White House Down co-starring Channing Tatum. In 2014, he starred as the villain Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 alongside Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. He also lent his voice to the character Nico in the animated film Rio 2.
During the Comics for the Cause event to support local non-profit SCV Youth Project, publishers of The Magazine of Santa Clarita Moe and Linda Hafizi met Maz Jobrani before the show. Maz Jobrani is the founding member of The Axis of Evil Comedy Tour, which first aired on Comedy Central. He has had two Showtime specials, Brown and Friendly and, most recently, I Come In Peace. Jobrani has also performed stand up on The Tonight Show and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. With more than 50 guest star appearances, Jobrani can regularly be seen on television’s most popular shows. Recent guest appearances include: Mission Control, True Blood and Shameless. Jobrani has also been featured on CNN and BBC, as well as in The New York Times and Time Magazine. He also has given TED Talks on breaking stereotypes through comedy.
