1. WebMD
This free medical app quickly helps seniors locate the nearest doctor, pharmacy and hospital during emergencies. Its Symptom Checker feature allows users to enter any symptoms they might be experiencing and responds with a list of probable conditions. Seniors can also use support groups to discuss health issues with other seniors and health professionals. The Pill Identification Tool can quickly identify over-the-counter and prescription medicines based on the indentation, color and shape of the pill. The Drug and Treatments feature provides detailed information on the side effects, uses and warnings for medications, vitamins and nutritional supplements.
2. Lumosity
The Lumosity app provides scientifically proven brain training sessions in the form of games that are perfect for any age level, including seniors. These improve the brain’s memory, focus and problem-solving sectors.
3. Mint
Mint is a free financial application that can make it really easy for seniors to keep track of their finances and manage their spending habits. It provides its users with all their financial information on one screen, making it user friendly for seniors. Mint displays all purchases and transactions in their specific categories. Seniors can easily establish confusion-free budgets.
