Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center (PAC) Presents Los Lonely Boys
The Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center (PAC) at College of the Canyons will present a special performance by Grammy Award-winning group Los Lonely Boys on Saturday, February 27.
The popular trio from Texas is comprised of brothers Henry, Jojo, and Ringo Garza — vvotherwise known as Los Lonely Boys.
The group’s rootsy brown-eyed soul, rustic acoustic textures, and good old-fashioned bluesy rock ‘n’ roll — self described as “Texican rock ‘n’ roll — has been connecting with audiences for more than a decade.
In 2004, Los Lonely Boys released its first single “Heaven,” which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart, No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100, and No. 11 on the American Top 40, before going on to win a Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with vocals.
After a prominent guest appearance on the 2005 Santana album “All That I Am,” Los Lonely Boys solidified its success with their 2006 album release “Sacred.” The group also released the albums “Forgiven” in 2008 and “Rockpango” in 2011.
Already renowned for delivering powerful live performances, the group is currently on the road playing songs from its newest album “Revelation” released in early 2014.
“Revelation” was recorded after band member Henry Garza suffered serious injuries stemming from an on-stage fall in 2013. With those injuries necessitating a lengthy recovery period, the brothers decided to use that time in the studio, and soon began recording “Revelation.”
The Texan trio says of the adventurous new album, “We decided to call this album ‘Revelation’ because we want to make music that reveals something to people about their lives and their world. As musicians and artists, we’re here to connect with people, and to share our view of things.”
Los Lonely Boys will perform on the PAC main stage at 8 p.m. Saturday, February 27.
Tickets range in price from $30 to $58.
