While gasoline prices are currently down, the experts are predicting higher energy prices due to the five-year drought, and even if the rain fall increases this year, it will take three to five years of above average rain fall to stabilize energy prices. Electricity and natural gas prices are increasing each year by an average of six to seven percent annually. The utility companies are setup for these automatic price increases, because they are regulated by the California Public Utility Commission (PUC). They are a provider, and your home is a user. Making your home energy efficient is like putting money in the bank.
