Barn & Charm Celebrates Its First Anniversary!
On Saturday March 12, Barn & Charm is celebrating its first year anniversary here in the Yellow Victoria Center on Lyons Ave. Previously on Main Street as The Painted Shutter & Co, Owner Carol Reesha invites you to come join the festivities: live entertainment, appetizers, desserts and raffles, which include a grand prize of $300 in workshops. Be sure to join us from 4-8 p.m.
By melding rustic and casual looks with sophisticated design, Barn & Charm offers a treasure trove filled with elegant décor. A stroll through the shop reveals vintage home and garden wares, industrial and antique collectibles, and rare salvage goods for shabby chic designs. Barn & Charm contains products that truly inspire “do it themselves” individuals.
Carol specializes in American Paint Co., a full line of chalk, clay and mineral based paints that are displayed among the aisles of gorgeous collectibles, along with waxes, glazes and other finishes. Vendor Tania Vivian offers beautifully crafted and locally-handmade soaps and lotions. Other dealers include, Reina and Frank Lopez, Margie Quam, Maggie Judson, and Joy and Brian Marlow, which offer various styles that contribute to the treasured store.
In addition to a wide array of custom and boutique products, Barn & Charm hosts workshops that include the clay chalk mineral-based painting 101 for furniture and accessories, decoupage, and sign making – just to name a few! As Barn & Charm gears up for their second year of business, the retailer is adding a special workshop featuring Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint, demonstrated by expert Chelsea Wintson.
“These partnerships with other dealers help bring in an array of items, as well as the talented people who specialize in their respective fields,” Carol states. “It makes the store unique and more valuable to our customers, as both a shop and a resource.”
Barn & Charm provides a very active customer wants and needs book, for those searching for something in particular. “We often match people up with items before they get to the store,” Carol explains.
Customer Lauren agrees: “I just love this store! It has great gifts and cute ideas. I love the chalk clay paint, and the classes are fun! It makes you want to repaint everything in your home.”
