Conversations with a Disneyland Legend

On February 3, Combat Radio and Disney Legend Bob Gurr – designer of The Haunted Mansion, Monorail, Matterhorn and Autopia – held a special red carpet event at Salt Creek Grille for the premiere of Mr. Gurr’s new audio book Fail Fast, Combat Radio Conversations With Disney Legend Bob Gurr.  The event featured a private dinner where Bob talked about working with his friend, Walt Disney, and designing attractions and vehicles for Disneyland.  He also discussed a Combat Radio broadcast, co-hosted by Hannah Montana Producer Doug Lieblein and Combat Radio’s Ethan Dettenmaier, and fielded questions from a crowd of over one hundred people.  There was an auction of vintage Disney merchandise including floor plans of The Haunted Mansion, which Mr. Gurr signed.  Since Mr. Gurr designed the T-Rex for the Jurassic Park films, the Jurassic Park Motor Pool and vehicles from the films were on hand for people to check out.
