Born in Cambodia, owner Larry Be and his wife Sarah moved to the United States in 1979.
“They didn’t come with much,” said son Chung Be, “but they had a dream of building a better life for their family.”
Larry lived in New York before moving to Kansas to work as a butcher in a meat factory.  No stranger to the food industry, the Bes headed west and continued to pursue their dream of building a better life for their family.
“In the mid 80s, my dad opened his first donut shop in Los Angeles,” said Chung.  “It wasn’t in the greatest neighborhood, but it was good to us and helped pay the bills.”
With his eyes set on expanding his business and raising his kids in a better neighborhood, Larry and his family moved to the Santa Clarita Valley and opened up a new donut shop – S & S Donuts & Bake Shop & Deli.
Since 1998, S & S Donuts & Bake Shop & Deli has made their home in the Canyon Center Shopping Center.  Open seven days a week, S & S Donuts & Bake Shop & Deli offers a variety of favorites, including freshly-made muffins, croissants, donuts and more.
Using fresh ingredients, Larry and his baking team hand-make the tastiest donuts around.
A popular item on the menu includes the mouthwatering tiramisu, a coffee flavored Italian dessert rich in history and in taste.  Another item customers won’t want to miss out on is the freshly baked éclair, a pastry filled with cream and topped with chocolate icing.
While the craze may be about the donuts, customers love the chicken sandwiches, ham and cheese croissants and even their apple fritters.
