Happy Days, A New Musical at The Canyon Theatre Guild – A power house rock and roll trip down memory lane!
The Canyon Theatre Guild presents a fun-filled romp through the candy-colored world of Happy Days, where gasoline is 12 cents a gallon and a slice of pie solves most problems. This nostalgia-laden musical version of the TV show finds the energetic group of Milwaukee high school students planning a fund-raising dance contest and wrestling match – all to save their beloved drive-in malt shop Arnold’s from demolition. Arthur “The Fonz” Fonzarelli is the chief architect of the plan and Richie Cunningham, Potsie, Ralph Malph, Chachi and the rest of the frisky group vow to help. Along for the ride is Pinky Tuscadero, whose on-again/off-again romance with the Fonz has been rekindled.
Happy Days, A New Musical reintroduces one of America’s best loved families, the Cunninghams– to a whole new generation of kids and parents, offering delightful music from Oscar-winner Paul Williams, a book by the TV series original creator Garry Marshall, and another fabulous CTG Cast! So bring your family and return to the days of 1959 Milwaukee, complete with varsity sweaters, hula hoops and jukebox sock-hoppin’ fun. “If you like Grease you will love Happy Days.
