Ma Maison: For Purchases You Can Be Proud Of – Newhall specialty and gift boutique is a hidden gem for unique local shopping
Celebrating her second year of ownership, Denise Myers has never been more in touch with her customer base at the artisan boutique, Ma Maison in Newhall. By handselecting her inventory, Denise has procured product lines with purpose, and in an age of mass production and inferiorquality goods, her loyal customers thank her for it.
“I like to keep my finger on the pulse of Santa Clarita shoppers, and I’m getting to know my customers better,” Denise said. “We’re evolving to a more organic look and product base, with handcrafted, local and ethically sourced lines. My fingerprint is on the store now, and we’re getting a wonderful response from shoppers.”
Denise has made more changes than just where she buys product, however. With recently extended hours, Ma Maison is now open to accommodate the crowds at popular Thursdays@Newhall events, as well as diners from Newhall’s hip eateries. Open seven days a week, hours run from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, and they are always open until 10 p.m. during Senses events.
“We have gotten to know the community in Downtown Newhall, and we recognized our customers needed us to be here a little later,” Denise said. “We’re excited to meet that need.”
Tapping into the tastes, styles and purchasing choices of her customers, Denise has more on her shelves than ever before.
“We brought clothing in the last year, and we just expanded our line of men’s fragrances, bath and body, and gifts,” Denise said. “We’re listening to what our customers are asking for, and our store is bursting with product right now.”
A onestop shop of highquality unique items, Ma Maison offers everything from clothing and jewelry to bath and body or home and garden décor. No matter what you’re looking for, give Ma Maison a visit and you’ll walk away with the comforts of luxury living – and feeling good about who you’re supporting.
“There’s a bigger meaning to our items than their face value,” Denise said proudly of her collection.
Many products come from local artists or businesses, and others are sourced from upcycled, ecofriendly or womenowned companies. Everything on the shelves has been made and designed with the care of a passionate individual – from handpoured candles to artisancrafted jewelry. Several items can be even be personalized, taking the tailormade feel of Ma Maison to the next level, and making this gift shop perfect for those hardtoshopfor loved ones.
“We can personalize wedding certificates, plaques, beautifully designed birth announcements and more, as a way to bring a customized touch to your home décor,” Denise said. “It’s a great service to be able to offer as a gift shop and boutique.”
And if you can’t find what you need at Ma Maison, Denise will most likely be able to find it for you. By keeping a running list of customers’ tastes, preferences and requests, she makes individual calls to customers when buying or putting out new product.
“We are so thankful to our customers and this community,” Denise said. “We will continue to grow to meet your needs, giving you a store that feels good when you walk in and even better when you walk away.”
