Korean BBQ Is A Fun Way To Dine!
When you are talking about live-fire cooking then Korean barbecue is right up there with all the other offerings of barbecue from Kansas City to Memphis barbecue. Korean barbecue is a fun and healthy way to eat barbecue and the dishes are prepared at the diner’s table on gas or charcoal grills that are built into the table itself. You order anything from vegetables, meats, seafood and grill the food yourself to the perfect temperature.
The term Korean barbecue or Gogigui (meat roast) in Korean refers to the Korean method of roasting beef, chicken or pork and other types of meats and vegetables. Bulgogi, the most popular variety of Korean barbecue and is usually made from thinly sliced marinated beef or tenderloin.
The popularity of this type of BBQ is not only among Koreans but has gained in popularity worldwide! Korean barbecue is a bit more exotic and is usually eaten with lettuce wraps and served with spicy accompaniments. Side dishes may include a green onion salad called pajeriand and a fresh vegetable dish, which includes lettuce, cucumbers and peppers. The most popular way to eat your BBQ is to wrap the meat with lettuce and add the condiments. It is very simple, you order your meats and vegetables and then just keep an eye on your meat and flip it from time to time for even cooking. When your meat looks done simply place it off to the side of the grill so you don’t overcook it. Or just go a head and eat it!! You will be given small plates that are meant to complement your meal. You will have kimchi and condiments served along with your meal and generally this kind of meal may last from several hours, especially when you with your friends.
This is really a fun way to dine out with your friends or family and it is a colorful yet casual tradition, gathering around an open grill and cooking together. It appears that young chefs all over the United States have embraced this tradition and are serving up Korean barbecue much to the delight of diners everywhere.
