Aging with Dignity

 The SCV Senior Center hosted the Knowledge is Power: “Aging with Dignity Symposium” with Elder Law Attorney, Jane M. McNamara of McNamara Law Firm, PC on Saturday, May 7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  The event was held at the Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital Education Center, located at 23803 McBean Parkway in Valencia.
The $10 registration fee included all sessions, resource materials, access to vendors, continental breakfast and lunch. This engaging and informative day was filled with experts on issues related to caregiving, providing educational information to family caregivers.
The day featured 20 to 30 vendor booths staffed by experts in caregiving issues, support and advice. If you are a caregiver for a loved one this was a great way to educate yourself and to connect with other caregivers to get the support needed and to gather resources to help on your journey.
