Free Evening Events on Thursdays!
Old Town Newhall transforms from a bustling retail and dining destination by day, to a thriving arts and entertainment district by night, as the City of Santa Clarita hosts the Thursdays@Newhall series, presented by Galpin Subaru. Guests are invited to enjoy free weekly entertainment and nightlife on Main Street every Thursday evening at these events:
JAM Sessions & Concert
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes, and bring an instrument if you have one. JAM Sessions are participatory and centered around movement and music. All JAMs are free, and all ages and skill levels are welcome.
June 2 at 7 p.m. • Japanese Folk Dance
Discover the beauty and grace of Japanese festival dancing with Christine Inouye. Seize the moment and try your hand at these celebratory bon dances, set to ondo music.
July 7 at 7 p.m. • Pacific Island Dance
Sway your hips to the beat of the drum! Members of the Kalakeke Pacific Island Dance Company will bring Tahitian island culture to life through the fast paced dance moves of Ori Tahiti (Tahitian dance), set to the rhythms of Tahitian drums.
Revved Up
Join for a free monthly car show with a unique twist. Instead of hosting a traditional classic car show, each month will feature a niche car genre…think Classic VW, Traditional Rods and Customs, and more. This free event will showcase the best of the best nostalgic automobiles, with live music, food trucks and adult beverages provided by Persia Lounge.
June 9 • Mustangs – Meet me on Main Street for Mustang madness a free Revved Up car show, Thursday June 9, starting at 7 p.m. Enjoy the sights of the clean lines, the sounds as engines roar, and smells of pure exhaust on Main Street.
July 14 • Corvettes – Check your engine! Listen for the LS1 small blocks roaring down Main Street as Corvettes take over Old Town Newhall for Revved Up car show. Enjoy new and classic Corvettes as they hit the streets in Old Town Newhall, with free live music, food trucks and adult beverages.
SENSES
The themed block parties will feature popular performers, gourmet food truck and themed activities in a fun and festive adult setting.
June 16 • 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Some say the classics never go out of style. In anticipation of SENSES free Rockabilly block party. Check out how the 1950s style continues to reinvent itself. Rock the vintage look as pompadours, rockin’ bangs, polka dots and leather jackets take over Old Town Newhall. Come for the Rockabilly music of Hard Six and Three Bad Jacks, and stay for the hot rods, pin-up girls, gourmet food trucks, and adult beverages.
July 21 • 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Parrotheads and parakeets escape from the everyday at SENSES free Margaritaville block party. It’s 5 o’clock somewhere as you down a LandShark lager or grub on a cheeseburger in paradise at the gourmet food trucks. Wear your tropical attire, your board shorts and bikini wraps while enjoying a drink, playing in the sand, and hanging loose all night.
SCVTV Presents The OutWest Concert Series
The tradition of entertaining and engaging performances in an intimate setting continues at the Repertory East Playhouse, 24266 Main Street, Newhall 91321. Listen to well-established musicians, as well as new and emerging vocal artists and music groups in Western genres.
June 23 • Tom Hiatt – This Cowboy Balladeer is a true ‘Son of the West’ whose show repertoire includes traditional and contemporary western classics that are always a “hit” with audiences from all walks of life.

July 28 • Jerry Hall and Trick Shot – Tulare County’s Favorite Country and Western Music Band. Enjoy the synchronicity and harmonies of these good friends who love to make good music while sharing a few laughs.
